I am an art and dress historian and a former curator of dress. Known for my accessible writing style, I have published four books with Bloomsbury (including The New Dress Detective which is forthcoming in 2026) as well as numerous scholarly articles on dress and art history. I have lectured at museums and universities in North America, Europe and the United Kingdom. I have also acted as a consultant to museums and private collectors in helping date and interpret photographs, artworks and dress artifacts.
